This year, the most notable gadget in the iHome line-up was arguably the Power UVC Pro Alarm Clock. We met company rep Nisan Davydov at Techfluence to see what all the fuss was about.
The big selling point is the clock's internal compartment. It can sanitize phones and other small objects such as jewelry and car keys in minutes. Indeed, the clock is one of many devices at this year's CES that attempts to monetize the ongoing pandemic.
Within the compartment, you will find 12 LED lights arranged in a 360-degree array. They will perform a complete sanitization process on any items inside the compartment in just three minutes. You even get a countdown timer so you know how long is left.
And these aren't just baseless marketing claims. The Power UVC Pro has been lab-tested and found to kill 99.9 percent of viruses and bacteria without any need for chemicals. Of course, because the device is an alarm clock, you also get support for Bluetooth audio streaming, programmable alarm routines for weekdays and weekends, and customizable snooze lengths.
