If you use Microsoft Edge, the company brings several new features for you to use in this browser in the March update. You can now stack your browser tabs vertically as well as open the browser much faster than before.
What's New in Microsoft Edge?
As announced on the Microsoft Research blog, Edge is getting several new features, and we think these are going to change the way you browse the web.
Some of these features are:
Stack Your Tabs Vertically
Nearly all your browsers stack your open tabs horizontally by default, and Edge is now going to change that. With the latest version of Edge, you'll be able to stack all your open tabs vertically on one side of the browser.
If the horizontal tabs haven't been working well for you, this should be useful to you. On certain screens, this will actually work better than the horizontal tabs setup.
More Privacy Options
While you already had several privacy options built right into Edge, Microsoft has made finding and understanding these privacy options a bit better now. If you now head into the settings menu for the browser, you'll now see more direct and concise descriptions of what each option does.
That removes the technical jargon and helps you better understand the privacy options that are available to you.
Faster Launch Times
In addition to new features, Microsoft is working to make Edge launch faster than before. In an attempt to do this, Microsoft has been able to make the browser 41 percent faster than before.
This lets you quickly launch the browser and get access to all your sites without any waiting times.
How to Get Microsoft Edge's New Features
To get these new features in Edge, you need to download and install the latest updates for your browser. Edge does this automatically most of the time, however, you do have the option to force a manual update.
To do this, open Edge on your PC, click the three dots in the top-right, select Help and Feedback, and click About Microsoft Edge. The browser will find and install the available updates automatically.
Increase Your Productivity With Edge's New Features
All these new Edge features seem to be aimed at helping users be more productive. You can now better manage your website tabs, as well as launch the browser faster than ever, and this helps you get more done in less time and with more convenience.
