You may also want to turn it off to save the battery or pause notifications. But there are actually other ways to do this. If you want to stop getting notifications you can turn on Do Not Disturb mode. You can also turn on Airplane mode if you're on a flight. Power Reserve mode can decrease energy usage to save battery power if you're worried that your watch will die before you can charge it.

How to Turn Off Your Apple Watch
Follow these steps to turn off your Apple Watch:
- Press and hold the Side button until the Power Off slider appears on the screen.

- When you want to turn it back on, press and hold the Side button again until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
If your Apple Watch is on its charger, take it off first. You can't turn off the watch while it's charging.
