How to Capitalize Text Automatically in 4 Popular Word Processing Apps

It’s annoying to hold the Shift key to capitalize the first letter of every word of an article title. It’s hectic to manually correct the texts when you find out that you’ve been writing a whole paragraph with Caps Lock on. Moreover, when your client finds stray capital letters scattered through a few lines, that's disastrous.

In this article, we'll show you how you can use the automatic capitalization features of the top word processors.

1. WPS Office

This word processing software allows you to change the case of texts in two ways. Either you use its in-built function or modify the software settings.

1. Tweaking the WPS Office Settings

You can modify the Edit settings of WPF Office from its Options section to configure the tool for personalized case settings. You can customize these settings in the following ways:

  • Autocorrect the text cases when you accidentally use the Caps Lock key.
  • Use uppercase for the first letter of any sentence.
  • Use uppercase for the names of the days in a week.

WPS Office will automatically apply preferred case settings during writing when you uncheck or check these options.
